Year-End Duties and Upcoming Deadlines |
|

As the New Year begins, be mindful of year-end
duties and upcoming deadlines prescribed by the
State Board of Accounts. At the close of
December, all records must be posted and closed
promptly and reconciled with the bank
statement(s). Utilities and other departments
maintaining separate records must also be
reconciled. Among the reports that may have to
be prepared are: Withholding Taxes (Federal and
State), Social Security, Utility Receipts Tax,
Sales Tax (if any), Utility Reports to be filed
with the Indiana Utility Regulatory Commission,
Form 100-R (Certified Report of Names,
Addresses, Duties and Compensation of Public
Employees) and the Annual Report.

This past October, Umbaugh participated in the 5th
Annual Indiana CPA Society's Day of Service, an
annual event connecting hundreds of Indiana CPAs
as they perform community service and assist
non-profit organizations. We are proud to report
